1for1 Opening Reception

Welcome to 1for1!

1for1 is a new cultural production, political education, and movement building space located in the Tenderloin. This project comes out of the long struggle to liberate the site of the Compton’s Cafeteria Riot from GEO Group, the largest private prison corporation in the country and ICE contractor. Now, we have a space right next to the contested site, where we’ll keep building community through panels, workshops, free space for local organizing groups, and more.

Over the last handful of months, we’ve been dreaming, dusting, and adorning this new location, and we’re finally ready to share it with you all. Come through on Thursday, October 22, from 6-8pm to see the space, build solidarity, and learn about 1for1.
There will be ample time for mingling, a brief introduction from 1for1’s cooperative members, and a short screening.

Masks are required and provided. Wheelchair accessible. ADA restroom.

No RSVP required
